6 Kitchen Hacks You Need to Know!
No-Mess Cupcakes: Making cupcakes can get really messy- especially when you are trying to gracefully put the batter in the cupcake holders. Most likely you put oil in your recipe so all you do is use the measuring cup that had the oil in it! I did this and the batter slid out into the pan perfectly. Nothing was left in the cup!
Perfect Brownies: When cutting brownies, to avoid jagged and messy cut lines, use a plastic or warm knife! Sounds crazy, but the brownies won’t stick to it and it cuts smoothly.
Safe Baking: Here comes another cupcake hack! Put some water in the empty cupcake spots and it will keep your pan from warping and it helps the cupcakes cook evenly. This is especially good for people who don’t have the highest quality pans.
Spot On Eggs: After boiling your eggs, place them directly in ice water for 10 minutes. First, this stops the eggs from overcooking and this allows the shell to separate from the egg a little so the shell will come off easily. It’s a win-win!
Forget Old Bananas: Finishing all of the bananas before they go bad sometimes feels impossible. When you bring them home from the grocery store, take a piece of plastic wrap or aluminum foil and wrap it around the stems. This slows down the decaying process.
Moist Cookies: It's really sad when those cookies that you spent so much time on get rock hard and are inedible (unless you soak them in milk:). All you have to do is put a slice of an apple in the container with the cookies! It will keep them moist for days!
